A proud native of the Upper Cumberland region, Katie was born and raised in Cookeville, Tennessee. She earned her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis in May 2025, graduating with the Outstanding Student award in recognition of her academic excellence and leadership in the classroom and within the clinic.
During her doctoral studies, Katie obtained certification in LSVT BIG, a specialized treatment approach designed to help individuals with Parkinson’s Disease maintain and improve mobility and independence.
Outside of her professional work, Katie enjoys supporting University of Tennessee athletics, spending time with her dog Oakley, and diving into a good book.
